WEDDING FILM GUIDE
Receiving your film is an exciting moment. Taking a little time to organize the files means you can enjoy them now and keep them accessible as devices and online services change.
Start with the delivery instructions
Read the message that accompanies your film. Check which versions are available, how to download the original files, and whether a gallery or link has an access or retention period. Streaming a film from a link and downloading your own copy are different things. Ask if anything in the delivery instructions is unclear.
Keep more than one independent copy
Save the delivered files in at least two separate places rather than relying on one phone, one drive, or a social media upload. A local drive and a separate backup location are a practical starting point. Test that your copies open, label them clearly, and revisit the backups when you replace devices.
Share the version that suits the platform
A downloaded master file preserves more quality than repeatedly forwarding a compressed copy through messaging apps. Use any sharing versions provided and follow the delivery guidance. Before posting personal vows or a sensitive speech, consider the people included and any privacy wishes you discussed with the filmmaker.
Your planning checklist
- Download the delivered originals.
- Make a separate backup.
- Read gallery access and retention terms.
- Keep your delivery email and file names together.
Our wedding films are delivered digitally through a custom website. Ask about download options and the current delivery terms when choosing your collection.
